House notes · cookies
Every house keeps a book of its visits. This page names every line ours can write, what each one is for, and where you change your mind.
I · What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file the site leaves with your browser so it can recognise the same visit, or the same visitor, later. Ours are first‑party only: set by eustatiu.com, read by eustatiu.com, and nobody else.
II · The house cookies
Three lines keep the site working. They are set regardless of your decision, because nothing functions without them.
| Name | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|
| _eu_vid | the visitor, anonymously numbered | one year |
| _eu_sid | the visit itself | until you leave |
| _eu_consent | your decision about the rest | one year |
III · The count
With your consent, our own analytics notes which pages get read, how far, for how long, where a visit came from, and what kind of device read it. We built the tool ourselves and it runs on our own address. Nothing is sold, nothing goes to advertisers, and there is no Google Analytics here.
IV · Marketing
None. The house runs no advertising cookies. If that ever changes, this page changes first, and you will be asked again.
V · Your decision
Your current setting: not decided yet. Change it here, any time, no questions asked.
VI · Keeping and your rights
The count is kept for up to two years, then thinned to plain totals. Under the GDPR you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, withdraw consent at any time, or complain to ANSPDCP. One letter to contact@eustatiu.com does any of these.
The fuller account of what we collect and why is in the privacy note. Last updated: June 2026.
